First of all I didn't know these even existed!
Inspection:
This one was very badly constructed with many cold solder joints with moving wires within the joints readily visible!
Cleanup:
The electrolytics were replaced, note the much smaller physical sizes! All the main wires were replaced and joints properly soldered.
A silicon highly flexable 18 AWG power cable was constructed to connect the ELF to the supply.
Testing:
Testing was then completed using an electronic load:
- Testing done at no load and with a 2A constant current load
